Week 13

 

Monday 18 November 2013

What: Students will be able to view how changes in EM radiation change the appearance of various color T-shirts.

How: We will go to the planetarium where I will present lab on the EM Spectrum.  I will hang 8 different color T-shirts up and use the LED lighting to vary the EM radiation falling on each shirt.  The students will complete a data table determining the color of each shirt in various wavelengths of EM radiation.

What: Students will be able to describe EM radiation.

How: The students will work on a study guide concerning the electromagnetic spectrum for the first portion of class.  We will then discuss the properties of EM radiation.

 

Wednesday 20 November 2013

What: Students will be able to describe the various types of electromagnetic radiation and it uses.

How: The students will work on a study guide concerning the electromagnetic spectrum for the first portion of class.  We will then discuss the various wavelengths and their uses.

 

Thursday 21 November 2013

What: Students will be able to describe the various types of electromagnetic radiation and it uses.

How: We will have class discussion wrapping up the electromagnetic spectrum.

 

Friday 22 November 2013

What: Students will be able to locate the constellations.

How: We will go to the planetarium where I will recap the week in Astronomy.  We will then review the constellations previously learned.  Class will conclude with the presentation of Triangulum and Perseus in the night sky.
